Project Rockingstone

This Mediterranean inspired Colonial in Larchmont was the ultimate house to design with a mixture of style influences.

Project Rockingstone focused on brightening the walls, expanding openings between rooms and introducing black windows to create a more modern canvas. However, we were mindful that the home remain connected to its more traditional roots. We honored the inherent beauty of the home by refurbishing existing built-ins, reintroducing iron railings inside and out and reinforcing the arched doors and windows in the office and den. By combining the old with the new, we had more flexibility in furnishings and were able to give each room a unique identity.

From the bold tribal wallpaper in the office to the classic design of the kitchen, we played with a variety of style influences which often meant contrasting light with dark; bold with subtle and modern with classic. The end result is a home that is equally beautiful and timeless.
